GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. This new European set of rules is effective from May 25th 2018 and replaces the previous data protection directive of 1995.

What's new?

There are new rights for people to access the information that companies hold about them: GDPR introduces the concept of access to personal data and the right to be forgotten, which allows a person to request that their data be erased.
